Since this is my first role-play thing, i would like to have people explain the basics. perhaps when later users who are new could look at this and get a feel of things as well, so i believe this is a good idea.

Also, if i am not allowed to do this here or am not supposed to post something like this at all, i apologize. I hope I am not though

It's fine if you make this post; that's what this forum is for. You can talk about anything involving the roleplay, or the lack of knowledge thereof.

Roleplaying is basically like writing a book with help from others. You describe the environment around you while, also, describing what your character does/says, or how he/she may be acting. You use the information provided by the other people roleplaying with you to make a more interesting roleplay.
